It is a part of Motocross...If you race you WILL crash!
Thankfully, most crashes result in nothing more than loss of positions, minor equipment damage and a bruised ego.
Get back up, pound your clutch lever back into place and try to salvage a good finish!
Sometimes, a "routine" crash doesn't always have such a good outcome.
If you are at a National event, the World renowned "Alpinestars" Medical team
will be right there, at a smaller race hopefully the EMT staff will be familiar with racing injuries.
Ambulance transport for additional care will be Thousands of Dollars; If air transport is required, TEN TIMES THAT!
While on the road to recovery, Specialized equipment such as a power chair, or a ramp equipped van may be required, costing Thousands more each month.
The cost can be so great, many great riders never can afford to return to racing!
